Who am I ?
My name is Ema, and I'm a product designer and creator of handcrafted jewelry, originally from the south of France. Passionate about creation, I've always loved getting lost in my thoughts and imagining new ideas, experimenting with shapes and volumes, all while combining functionality and aesthetics. It was therefore quite natural for me to study design, particularly product design, which allowed me to refine my eye and sensitivity, while learning to develop a project from start to finish. Being a designer is a way to combine intuition, creativity, and analysis.
Applying these principles to jewelry design led me to consider my pieces beyond their purely ornamental role: my jewelry seeks to engage with the body, to follow its curves and movements, while simultaneously enhancing its beauty. Throughout my journey, and thanks to a chance encounter, I turned to craftsmanship. It was the expertise of a mentor that allowed me to learn how to shape and understand metal, which has since become my means of expression. It was in my workshop in Marseille that I began to sketch my ideas and focus my work on the metal bead.
In 2025, after two years of research and experimentation, I founded Synonys, a jewelry house specializing in recycled 925 sterling silver, combining creativity and a commitment to sustainability. What makes my jewelry unique is its handcrafted silver beads, which reinvent forms found in nature, somewhere between abstraction and poetry, making the silver bead the true signature of the house.
